Loving God and Loving Others Amid Coronavirus

At EUM Church, our congregation and community are family. And like you, during these last few weeks we’ve been focused on doing all the things we need to do to keep our families safe and healthy. We believe that everyone deserves to have access to worship and communities of faith. That’s why our teams are working so hard to keep our facilities clean and prepared.

Here are the steps we’re taking to protect our community, congregation, servants and staff:

At Our Facilities:

  • Cleaning commonly used areas more often, including counters, door handles, equipment, etc.

  • Sanitizing restrooms more frequently and keeping them well stocked with supplies, including soap, paper towels and hand sanitizer.

  • Providing hand sanitizer throughout the buildings in common areas.

  • Continuing to follow best practices for disinfecting kids and youth areas including toys and equipment.

Online:

Should you feel sick or be considered at-risk, we will continue to offer a great alternative to attending service in-person through our live stream. Visit our website at www.eumchurch.org and click on Sermons and then Watch Live Stream, or the EUM Church app by clicking on Media and then Live Stream to join us. Previous sermons are also available on these platforms as well.

In Person:

We will be encouraging a verbal greeting or wave instead of a customary handshake, high five or hug during this season. However, we will continue to always encourage hospitality and fellowship!

Communion:

We will be modifying how we receive communion, and will give instructions during the service.

We will continue to monitor the evolving situation, as well as guidance from federal, state and local agencies, including the CDC and other health organizations. We will also be in prayer for those affected with COVID-19 , and the people and organizations caring for them. We trust with this situation and others that our hope and faith remain in Christ! “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

Thank you for being a part of our church and faith community! Should you have further concerns or questions, feel free to call into the church office.

Sincerely,

Kristin Fee,

Executive Director
